Steetaws Subdivision is a Tzeachten member occupied housing subdivision located at the east end of Keith Wilson Road, in Chilliwack, BC. Steetaws is a fully serviced subdivision situated in a park like setting at the foot of Promontory Heights and easily accessed via Keith Wilson Road off Vedder Road. Steetaws is an attractive subdivision with landscaped yards and space for children to play. Providing all the modern amenities you would expect. Steetaws is a shining example of what is possible with community teamwork and vision.
The concept of the Steetaws Subdivision was to provide Tzeachten members with the opportunity to either build privately or participate in Social Housing. Steetaws is fully developed with twenty-four attractive homes, consisting of a mixture of member privately owned homes and Tzeachten administered social housing. Steetaws is an exceptional example of both First Nation and members working together, pride of ownership and a modern approach to social housing.
River Rock Subdivision is a new fully serviced subdivision strategically located off Chilliwack River Road in the heart of one of Tzeachten’s primary residential areas. The concept behind this development is to provide membership with access to serviced lots for the purpose of building privately financed housing. River Rock consists of eight developable lots. As of May 2008, four serviced lots remain vacant and are ready for development.
